Terms & Conditions of Sale

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all horse and pony sales through Twilight Farms. All purchasers are required to review and sign our standard Bill of Sale prior to completing any purchase.

Bill of Sale & Purchase Process

All horses and ponies are sold under Twilight Farms’ standard Bill of Sale. This Bill of Sale must be completed, signed, and returned before any sale is considered final and before a horse may leave the farm.

To purchase a horse listed on our website at the asking price, please contact us through the website contact form and include:

  • The name of the horse you are interested in

  • Your full name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Physical address

Once contact is made, you will be provided with instructions to complete the purchase. A signed copy of the Bill of Sale will be returned to the purchaser once full payment has been received.

Payment Terms

Full payment is required before any horse is released from Twilight Farms.

Accepted forms of payment include:

  • Cash

  • Zelle

  • ACH Transfer Via online invoice

  • Wire Transfer

We do not accept deposits and do not hold horses pending veterinary examinations. Horses are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning the first party to submit full payment will secure the horse, regardless of any scheduled or pending vet checks.

Pre-Purchase Examinations & “As-Is” Sales

All horses are sold AS IS, with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied.

The purchaser is encouraged to have a pre-purchase examination performed by a licensed veterinarian of their choice at the purchaser’s expense prior to completing the sale. If the purchaser elects not to perform a pre-purchase examination, they waive any and all claims against Twilight Farms for known or unknown conditions, including both patent and latent defects.

The purchaser acknowledges that they have been given the opportunity to inspect the horse and accepts the horse in its existing condition.

Age Estimates

Grade horses are sold with no guarantee of age. Any age listed is our best estimate based on veterinary or dental evaluation. Buyers are encouraged to have age verified independently by their own veterinarian or equine dentist prior to purchase.

Rider Compatibility & Assumption of Risk

Riders have varying levels of skill and experience. While we are happy to share our professional opinion regarding a horse’s suitability, no horse can be guaranteed to be a perfect fit for a specific rider.

Horses are animals, and even the safest horse may react unpredictably. By purchasing a horse from Twilight Farms, the buyer assumes all risk associated with handling, riding, transporting, and caring for the horse. Twilight Farms is not responsible for any injury, accident, or incident involving the horse once it leaves our care.

Pre-Purchase Exam Veterinarians

The following local veterinarians are commonly used for pre-purchase examinations:

  • East Holmes Veterinary Service — 330-893-2057

  • Bliss Veterinary Services — 330-663-1935

  • Orrville Veterinary Clinic — 330-682-2971

  • Red Star Veterinary Clinic — 330-871-8013 (haul-in)

  • Mairs Veterinary Hospital — 330-262-7921 (haul-in)

A $100 hauling fee applies if haul-in appointments are required. We do not haul on frozen roads or when severe weather is expected. Hauling to veterinary appointments is not available on Tuesdays; however, a representative may meet the veterinarian at the farm on that day.

Final Acknowledgment

By proceeding with a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions outlined above.
