Eddie is a striking 4-year-old dunskin roan gelding standing just under 15 hands. Very well broke with an exceptional foundation, Eddie is soft in the bridle, has a terrific neck rein, a great stop, knows his leads, and side passes with ease. He will side pass to a mounting block, fence, rock, or wherever you need him positioned to mount, and he will even lay down on command for mounting from the ground. Eddie is brave and enjoyable on the trail, yet he has the responsiveness and ability to move on to a working career. He rides beautifully Western without needing spurs and is always right there when called upon. He also transitions comfortably to English, displaying a smooth, fluid trot and canter. With his training, athletic ability, and willing nature, we feel Eddie would make a lovely roping, ranch, or all-around using horse, while still being a tremendous partner for someone who simply wants to enjoy the trails. Eddie currently lives outside in a large pasture with other horses and may have an occasional minor mark from everyday pasture life. He has a couple of small scars on his chest and hock that have been present since he was a foal and is branded on his left hip. Eddie is currently shod all the way around due to the rocky terrain where we ride, although he can go barefoot on softer ground.
