He picks up his leads, stops willingly, backs easily, and offers a nice turnaround. He side-passes, works quietly around obstacles, and has had ropes swung off him and objects dragged behind him. His ranch-minded attitude and willingness to learn make him a horse that can easily transition between pleasure riding, trail riding, ranch work, and recreational activities.
